Unlike diamonds, the truth is that tracing a sapphire's origin is not always possible. However, we work with reputable suppliers who share the same values and standards as set by the World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO) and do our best to ensure that every sapphire we sell is mined ethically.

At Nolan and Vada, we have a zero-tolerance policy towards conflict diamonds. Our diamonds are proudly sourced from global manufacturers that comply with the United Nations Kimberley Process in order to ensure all of our diamonds are ethically sourced.

As a part of our commitment to the environment, we are proud about the fact that most of the precious metals we use are produced by recycled waste from the Jewellery Industry within Australasia.

Unlike many in the industry, we do not get our rings manufactured in countries where there is a risk of compromised labour practices. All our rings are proudly made right here in New Zealand by expert master jewellers & gemsetters with over 20 years of experience in trade.

We believe even if the sapphires are enhanced by industry accepted ways, it is not only ethical but also a right of the consumer to know about enhancements before making a purchase. As a part of our process, we disclose any enhancements a sapphire may have gone through.
